EMILY’S CHOICE: Biking the Atlanta Beltline!

Hi everyone! I’m excited today to tell you about another one of my favorite places in the city! The Atlanta Beltline is a hidden gem that I didn’t find until last year. It is the perfect place to go biking, walking, or admiring art. It is also a great place to hang out with friends or go on a date!

“The Atlanta BeltLine is a sustainable redevelopment project that will provide a network of public parks, multi-use trails and transit along a historic 22-mile railroad corridor circling downtown and connecting many neighborhoods [and city parks] directly to each other.”

One thing I definitely recommend is biking the trail from Sampson St NE to Piedmont Park (see my review here of the park). It goes right by murals, the Old Fourth Ward skate park, and directly to the park area by Park Tavern where you can play in the field and enjoy the view (right picture). Also, if you want to grab something to eat, Park Tavern is delicious! (Review coming soon.)
If you need a place to rent a bike, check out my review of the “Atlanta Beltline Bicycle Shop“!

Last thing I recommend is that if you go on the trail, you should stop at the King of Pops place for a refreshing popsicle! I do this almost every time. I have liked all the fruit flavors I’ve tried but can’t remember the exact names of the flavors. If you don’t know what to get, the employees give good recommendations!

If you have a free day, definitely go to the beltline and let me know what you think!
