EMILY’S CHOICE: Krog Street Market

You guys.. Krog Street Market is the place to be! I went on a Friday night to get some dinner and loved the place! It is located at  99 Krog Street Atlanta, Georgia 30307. The market has a huge mix of places to eat including Middle Eastern, American, and Asian food, and ice cream. You can also shop here at places that sell flowers and chocolate. Parking here is easy but my only complaint is that I wish they had more places to sit. It’s easier to come here with a small group rather than a large one. Here are the eateries my friends and I tried out:

Yalla!
“Yalla will expand your cultural palate with a contemporary Middle Eastern food stall featuring shawarma and kebabs, falafel, fresh-baked pita and laffa, and a variety of salads”. This place was delicious and you can make your own combination. I made my own bowl and it was amazing and filling! I tried my friend’s falafel and loved it as well! The prices of the meals range from $9-15.

“As a top rated retailer of craft beer in Georgia and Alabama, Hop City will offer an eclectic and impressive collection of craft beers, fine wines and even their famous growlers.” Hop City is two things: a wine and beer store and a bar.

Now I know we should’ve tried a beer from “Hop City” but instead my best friend and I decided to go for cocktails. Haha We got something called the “butterfly” and unfortunately it was super gross. It sounded like it was going to be really fruity but instead was extremely bitter.
Next time, I’m definitely just going to ask the bartender for their beer recommendation. Check out this spot if you are looking for a cool place to grab a drink!
In terms of the beer and wine store, you can find practically anything in there including local beers.

Fred’s Meat & Bread
“Fred’s Meat & Bread brings Todd Ginsberg’s acclaimed burgers and fries and a full menu of classic sandwiches including cheesesteaks, banh mi, po’ boys, and more.”Look at this burger.. Yum, right?? My friend ordered this one and let me try it. The patties were really juicy and I loved the buns as well!

Definitely recommend trying out this place.

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams
“Ice creams, sorbets, and frozen yogurts built from the ground up with all carefully sourced ingredients from around the world. The flavors found at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams range from seasonal made with fresh, whole fruits and vegetables, to the traditional chocolate and vanilla flavors made with bean-to-bar chocolate and Fair Trade-Certified vanilla”

I previously did a review of a stand-a-lone Jeni’s shop so check it out here for flavor recommendations!

All in all, I LOVE the Krog Street Market! I will definitely be going back here in the next few weeks and recommend you try it out as well! Let me know your recommendations for places within the market!
