Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit

Who here loves biscuits? Well I definitely do and recently I was referred to go to Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit by two of my friends! They couldn’t stop raving about it so I knew I had to go. This is the cutest little place in the Virginia Highlands. See below for what my friends and I tried and what we thought of the place:

Pimento Cheese Biscuit with Bacon & Eggs– $7- I loved this biscuit! The pimento cheese taste was strong and went perfectly with the crunchy bacon and scrambled egg (you can choose to get a fried egg if you prefer that). The biscuit was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and was filling! I also really liked that ground pepper was used on the egg because it really added to the overall flavor! I wish the price of this biscuit was a bit cheaper but at least it was definitely made with quality ingredients!
Iced Coffee– $3- I was so excited that Callie’s had coffee. I loved their ice coffee and it was great paired with the biscuit. Would definitely get this coffee again!

Pimento Cheese Sandwich-$4- My roommate got this sandwich and thought it was great! (Basically you can’t go wrong with anything with pimento cheese here.) The bread on this sandwich was crunchy and it was also served with okra!
Black Pepper Bacon Biscuit– $4- This was such a unique biscuit with little bits of bacon in the middle. I tried this biscuit and personally wouldn’t get it over other options. I wish it was served with gravy over it or something because it was a little plain on its own. However, I appreciate the uniqueness!

Cinnamon Biscuit– $4- If you liked sweets, then I recommend the cinnamon biscuit! I tried a sample of it on the way into Callie’s and would’ve gotten it if I was in the mood for sweets!
Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit is a pretty small place so I would recommend going in the morning on a week day if you can. There’s pretty limited seating so going on a weekday would help! FYI parking is on the street and paid at a meter. I think this would make the cutest place for a morning date or to get your day started with someone! I will be back here!
