Brunch: Cypress Pint & Plate

DSC00266.jpgHello everyone! This past Saturday, my friend Isabella and I went to Cypress Pint & Plate to try out their new brunch menu! We love coming here to grab a beer or dinner because it is so close to Georgia Tech and affordable (did you know you can also get a burger in a donut here?!)! I’m a huge fan of brunch so I was ecstatic to get brunch at a restaurant I already loved. Brunch is available on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-2pm.The staff here was super friendly and our waiter took the time to have a conversation with us! Scott, the manager, and Dwayne, the head chef  were so friendly as well and took the time to give us their menu recommendations! Below are the items that we tried!

DSC00256Mimosas– $3- When you go to brunch, you have to have mimosas. The ratio of champagne to orange juice in these were perfect.

DSC00267Breakfast Eggrolls-$9- These eggrolls are stuffed with scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, sausage, & sriracha syrup and then fried in sesame oil. Yum! This appetizer was recommended to us by head chef Dwayne and they were amazing! The sesame oil gives these a great flavor and the sriracha syrup really adds some sweetness and a little spicyness to the dish! I would absolutely get this again!

DSC00262Cypress Flapjacks– $10- These pancakes come in your flavor choice of chocolate pecan or very berry and is served with bacon and syrup. Isabella and I shared the chocolate pecan pancakes and they were great! The pancakes were so fluffy and filling that we ended up taking one of them home! The bacon was crunchy as well and paired really great with the sweetness of the pancakes!

DSC00263Breakfast Quesadilla– $11- This dish is made with scrambled eggs, monterey jack cheese, ham, and topped with pineapple guacamole and red pepper crema. The taste of the cheese really shines through and the pineapple guacamole was so refreshing and amazing. This dish was really filling and we ended up taking some of it home! I think this quesadilla would go great with scrambled eggs so I recommend ordering a side of eggs if you get this dish!

IPA Cured Salmon Benedict-$12- Chef Dwayne recommended this dish and it is a bagel with salmon, poached eggs, and cream cheese hollandaise and is served with a side of your choice! This dish sounds delicious so if you’re a salmon fan you should go for it! I’m definitely getting it next time I come here!

unspecified (1)I personally love that Cypress has an outdoor patio. I sit outside almost every time I come here! At night they typically burn a fire as well so that really adds to the ambiance of the restaurant. If you’re looking to go to Cypress at another time besides brunch, they have Beer Geek Tuesdays which is “a casual exploration of all things beer including food and beer pairings to rare casks and tap takeovers” as well as trivia on Wednesdays! unspecified (3)unspecified (2)

I definitely recommend you all come here for brunch one weekend! Cypress is located at 817 West Peachtree, Suite E-125.
