Last Saturday my friends, James and Peter, and I went to Edgewood to try out Room Escape Atlanta. I had heard so much about these “escape room” activities in Atlanta and was really excited for the challenge! If you haven’t heard about “escape room” before, basically you and your friends form a team (7 or less people) and you are trapped in a room and have to use clues to find your way out. Room Escape Atlanta is open Tuesday through Sunday. You can see all the time slots to sign up here. The tickets cost $28 per person.

The theme of the room we did was “Snowmageddon”. Room Escape Atlanta did a great job making this setting feel believable as if a snow storm was coming! This was the description for the theme:

Atlanta’s worst snow storm is fast approaching and just your luck, you’re locked out of your home! You have 60 minutes to track down your sketchy family member and retrieve your spare key before the big bad blizzard makes you its next frozen victim.

We had so much fun working together to try to figure out how to escape but unfortunately were not successful. The success rate of this particular theme was 27% & we were so close to completing it but nonetheless, we still had a great time!

Room Escape Atlanta is located at 314 Auburn Ave, Atlanta, GA 30303. When we went the building wasn’t marked with any signs that said Room Escape. There are two doors at the front of the building- open the door on the right and go up the stairs. There you will find the person who will assist you with your session! I definitely recommend you go to Room Escape Atlanta! I had a blast!
