Restaurant: Red Pepper Taqueria

Hey everyone, are you looking for a hangout spot after work? Then you should head to Red Pepper Taqueria in Buckhead! This past week my friend Hannah and I tried some of the chef’s specials at this restaurant and were so full and happy after. Here are the items of the menu that we got!

DrinksDSC02809Red Wine Sangria– I thought this sangria was really refreshing and flavorful!

Margaritas– I tried the lime margarita the last time I was here and it was delicious! It was also quite strong (just a heads up).

AppetizersDSC02807 (2)DSC02799Salsa Trio $6.50- These 3 flavors, tomato salsa, tomatillo salsa verde, & salsa morita, were awesome! The morita was my favorite & had a great chipotle flavor to it!

DSC02801Tuna Crudo– $9.50- This ahi tuna was served with peppercorn,  jicama slaw, and ají chili remoulade. This appetizer was packed with flavor and a little spicy. So yummy and I’ll definitely get it again. If you like your dishes extra spicy, you can eat the jalapeno with each bite of fish.

DSC02802Ceviche Blanco– $9.50- Made with red snapper, classic citrus marinade, and crunchy plantain chips. Hannah and I loved this. It was tangy and had the perfect amount of citrus and flavor. I will definitely be ordering this again.

DSC02804Grilled Oysters-$9.50- This appetizer is composed of 4 charbroiled oysters, jamón serrano, grated parmesan, and garlic bread. This dish had a little bit too much of a smoky and milky flavor for my liking. I preferred the other appetizers over this one. The garlic bread was awesome though!

Tacos- Each one costs $3.79DSC02814The manager we met with recommended these three tacos shown above so of course we wanted to try them! Here are their details from left to right:

DessertDSC02818Churros con Chocolate-$5.50- Fried pastry dough & hazelnut chocolate sauce. I don’t even really like sweets much but I loved these churros. They were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It reminded me of the bottom of a pie. So good!

DSC02795This patio is awesome for 90 degrees and under weather! I see a lot of people come here after work just to hang out and I could definitely see myself doing that in the future too.Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

Red Pepper Taqueria has a ton of weekly specials that you can find here. I will definitely be back for margaritas and food!
