Hey everyone! A few weeks ago, I got to try out 9 Mile Station which is a gorgeous restaurant on top of Ponce City Market! It is a “rooftop beer garden with local brews, creative pub fare & city views“. I, along with a bunch of my favorite blogger babes, got to try a variety of dishes for a Galentine’s Day themed dinner which I’m going to review below!
Meat & Cheese Board-$28- This board was soo yummy and I liked that it was served with pretzel bread! I think it could’ve been improved with some mustard on the side but other than that it had great variety!
Pretty Girls Like Daquiris– $14- Made with Titos Handmade Vodka, Combier Apricot, Lime, Angostura, Cherry- This drink was fruity, delicious, and I loved it! It’s a traditional daiquiri and not the frozen type you might think of at the beach.
Mushroom Gratin– $6- I loved this gratin so much that I think I ate most of it at our table haha. It’s served with sourdough bread which has olive oil on it and it made for the perfect combo.
Arugula Salad– $12- Made with Marcona Almond, Strawberry, Pickled Red Onion, Valdeón Blue Cheese, and Sherry Vinaigrette- This was light and refreshing and would be a good appetizer that doesn’t spoil your meal!
Gulf Coast Red Prawns– $15- These prawns were so large and wonderful. They come served with a red Chimichurri too!
Beef Short Rib– $32- Served with Parsnip Purée, Horseradish & Pecan Gremolata- This short rib was high quality with an awesome sauce. I could’ve done without the gremolata as I’m not a big nut person but the dish was still great!
Seasonal Galette– $18- Made with Sweet Potato, Tomato, Patty Pan Squash, Piquillo Pepper, Gruyere- I was not the biggest fan of this dish even though a lot of the other bloggers really liked it! I think something could’ve tied the sweet potato and pepper together better because this dish came out more sweet than anything to me (but the pastry was well made)!
Springer Mountain Chicken– $26- Served with Roasted Garlic Mash, Broccolini, Onion Gravy- The chicken was great especially with the sauce on it, but what definitely stole the show for me was the roasted garlic mash potatoes! It was delicious and went so well paired with the short rib too!
At the end of the dinner, the chef spoiled us with some chocolate covered strawberries and cookies and they were so wonderful!
One of the unique things about 9 Mile is that if you’re on the patio, you get to dine with this view above *heart eyes*! They also offer heaters in the colder seasons. Once you’re done dining at 9 Mile, you should go play the games, do the attractions like the slide, or the lift at Skyline Park for another awesome view (shown below)!
Definitely recommend checking out 9 Mile Station! I will be back for sure and can’t wait to experience how especially great it will be in warmer weather!
