Fast-Casual Restaurant: Upbeet

I’m so excited that we finally have a healthy bowls/ salad place in Atlanta! When I was working in NYC for a few months, I often went to a place called Dig Inn to get grain/ vegetable bowls & recently realized we didn’t have a place like it in Atlanta- until now! Upbeet opened a few weeks ago & I went in after seeing a lot of photos on Instagram about it! Upbeet offers organic grain bowls, salads, acai bowls, smoothies, lattes, & toasts. I am obsessed with this place & can tell that I’ll be here all the time. Here’s what my friend Brittany & I tried when we went to Upbeet!

IMG_4577.JPGEggcelent Grain Bowl– $9.99-purple rice, kale, sweet potatoes, Brussel sprouts, mushrooms, soft-boiled cage-free egg, roasted red pepper dressing- I absolutely loved this bowl and will definitely get it again at some point. The mushrooms were my favorite part and everything in this bowl is just hearty and flavorful. Definitely recommend this bowl.

IMG_4566.JPGHot Chickpea Salad– $9.99- mesclun, quinoa, carrots, cilantro, cucumber, edamame, jalapenos, lentils, scallions, avocado, spicy roasted organic chickpeas, golden raisins, and lime vinaigrette- This bowl was really fresh and involved  a lot of raw vegetables which went great with the dressing!

IMG_4570.JPGThe Little Mermaid Acai Bowl– $10- Made with acai, banana, blue majik, cashew milk, blackberries, help granola, and organic sprinkles. I didn’t really care for the texture of the sprinkles on this acai bowl but I thought the mix of everything else was great! This bowl has the perfect balance of fruitiness and sweetness. The granola was incredible and I definitely need to eat it again.

Processed with VSCO with hb2 presetAvocado Toast– $6- Made with avocado, olive oil, red pepper flakes, lemon squeeze, and toast- This toast is a little small and simple for the price but the avocado was seasoned perfectly and I really like that it was topped with red pepper chili flakes for some kick.

IMG_4568.JPGBeach House Smoothie– $10- Made with pineapple, mango, mint, banana, dates, honey, vanilla coconut milk- My friend Brittany really enjoyed this smoothie and asked me to take it away because she was about to finish it. Lol If you like smoothies which aren’t as tart and instead have a banana/ coconut taste, then I think you will like this smoothie!
